Renaissance Capital appoints Alexander Fonarkov as Head of Equity Trading

Alexander to continue facilitating synergies across core geographies and leading global equity trading team 

London, 8 June 2018 – Renaissance Capital, a leading emerging and frontier markets investment bank, today announces the appointment of Alexander Fonarkov as Head of Equity Trading. Alexander will continue to be based in London and report to Roman Sarychev, Global Head of Trading.

Alexander rejoined Renaissance Capital in 2017 as Head of International Equity Trading from Citigroup Global Markets, where he spent over four years from 2013 as Director, CEEMEA Cash Equity Trading, responsible for Russia/CIS and local markets client-flow facilitation and inventory management. His track record also includes working at JPMorgan, Fusion Asset Management, Robert Fleming & Co. and Regent Pacific Group.

Alexander graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics & Technology, with a Master of Natural Sciences degree (1997). He has also completed a Market Technicians Association CMT programme in London (2016) having gained a wealth of global markets trading and risk management experience in different asset classes.
